This fine china coffee mug is decorated with a black and white illustration of Alice deciding whether or not to take a sip from a bottle labelled ‘Drink me’. Finished in gold, the magical bottle shimmers against the black and white sketch, adding a little extra wonder to the moment. The designs are inspired by an Alice in Wonderland card game based on illustrations by Sir John Tenniel (1820 – 1914). Alice’s musing, ‘Curioser and curioser’, is printed on the inside rim of the mug in a striking, swirling font. Turn the tea mug around and you’ll find out what happened when she decided to follow the instructions, with a miniature version of Alice gazing up in wonder at her larger, former self. And that’s not all! Just like Wonderland, this mug is packed with new surprises at every turn. Finish your drink and you’ll see the image of the Cheshire Cat appear in the base.
